It is an oil-based, table massage predominantly using a style of deep tissue massage, combined with long kneading strokes, cross-fibre mobilisation, acupressure, stretching, and energy awareness.
The result is the release of tense muscles, leading to relief of stress, improvement of circulation and promotion of harmony on all levels.
The combination of soft and deep tissue release with energetic massage strokes forms a very effective therapeutic bodywork that harmonises the various internal rhythms and puts us in touch with nature and the spirits.

Reiki (pronounced “ray-key”) ability to channel Universal Energy to open pathways of healing for the self and for the client.
This energy is transported through the bio-energetic channels and can be utilized through ‘laying on of hands’ or through the energy transport mechanisms of thought forms.
The term Reiki is derived from two Japanese words: Rei is defined as ‘universal’, ‘limitless’ and spiritual awareness. Like the sun’s rays, it supports life in all things. The second word, Ki, is defined as the life force energy that flows through all things. In other traditions, Ki is also known as Prana, Orenda, Light, Cosmic Energy, Qi or Chi.
The Reiki method of energy work involves placing the hands on or just above the body in order for the universal energy to flow, but can also be administered through distance healing for those who have attained the second level of energy attunement.
The flow of energy can restore the essential balance of life force into the body, mind and spirit. Training in the traditional initiation process of becoming a Reiki Practitioner is referred to as attunement levels.
Through training, the practitioner can access energy flow to support themselves and others. Training to Master/Teacher level involves not only higher attunement levels, but a demonstration of mastery of the self.
This process can take varying lengths of time, even years, depending upon the level of mastery of self of the individual.
